| 日本維新會幹部擬為選舉失利請辭 均獲慰留

日本各在野黨，在這次日本參議院改選當中，表現奇慘無比，各在野黨的黨魁或是幹事長，紛紛請辭下台；不過立場保守的「日本維新會」，在召開過幹部會議後決定，兩名共同黨魁：東京市長「橋下徹」與現任眾議員「石原慎太郎」，要繼續留任。
日本維新會方面表示，這次因為慰安婦問題，引發失言風波的「橋下徹」，認為自己應該負責，在會中提出辭請，不過被慰留；幹事長「松井一郎」也表明辭意，但同意獲得慰留。
據瞭解，日本維新會為了保持元氣，目前各幹部人事，傾向於「維持現狀」。

| 新加坡失業率攀升至2.1％

新加坡人力部31日公布，因企業進行整頓導致失業人數增加，第2季失業率經季節調整後為2.1%，高於第1季的1.9%與去年第4季的1.8%。
人力部的聲明指出，新加坡第2季新增3.25萬個就業機會，高於第1季的2.89萬個新增就業數，但第2季估計約有2,900 人遭到裁員，較第1季的2,120人增加37%。
