| 台漁民被殺 菲前官員致歉：很荒謬

台灣廣大興漁船遭菲律賓軍方槍擊命案仍未落幕，前菲律賓官員、現為民間重要意見領袖的奧古斯托(Augusto N. Miclat Jr.)，在參加台北舉辦的一場國際論壇上，針對菲國海巡船全副武裝、台灣船手無寸鐵，台籍漁民卻被射殺的荒謬局面，以個人身分表示抱歉，他更希望菲律賓能從這起事件裡得到反省。
全球預防武裝衝突夥伴（GPPAC）的年會將於5日召開，這是由聯合國前秘書長安南發起的國際非政府組織，目標是透過民間的串聯，發揮和平的能量。各國來賓明天更將前往龜山島，冀望凝聚出「台北和平宣言」的共識。今（3）日的會前論壇則由各國代表交流經驗，其中，菲律賓的GPPAC代表奧古斯托談到了今年5月的廣大興號事件，表示願意以個人身分向台灣道歉。
奧古斯托回憶了事件發生後，菲律賓人民的反應。他說，媒體報導的影響力很大，最初菲人得到的訊息是，菲國海巡單位純為自衛才開槍，直到深入了解才發現事實有所出入，人民也開始質疑官方的態度；他說，菲人通常很支持弱勢，看見任何人受苦都不忍心。
但他說，菲律賓人民好像沒有像台灣一樣，出現集體的、民族主義式的反應，例如有些菲人在台灣受到無故攻擊，菲國人民其實也很擔心。奧古斯托說，社會上總是有些極端份子，造成整個事件都失控了，廣大人民的聲音反而沒有被聽到，以致惡性循環；但其實菲國的公民社會是普遍同情受害者的。
