【大紀元2013年08月06日訊】8月5日中午11時30分許，烏魯木齊一輛公交車在行駛中突然起火燃燒，已造成1死31傷。

據大陸媒體報導，8月5日11時35分，烏魯木齊市公交集團一輛公交車(燃氣)行駛至光明路路段，突然起火。最新消息稱，事故造成乘客1死31傷，其中6人重傷。

報導稱，528A路公車司機赤裸上身，皮膚大面積燒傷脫落。司機說，起火後車廂內黑煙快速瀰漫，不能確定當時車上有多少乘客。一名約50歲的男子頭髮已經被燒成焦黃，他說：「當時公交車（公車）正在行駛中，突然聽到噗哧一聲，車廂內隨即燃起了大火。」

現場另一名目擊者說，從公車著火到消防人員趕赴現場撲滅火焰，沒有聽到爆炸聲。

烏魯木齊528A路公車線路屬新疆昊天運輸集團有限公司經營，屬民營公車企業。

官方消息稱，事故原因初步查明為車輛線路老化造成起火。
