| 維京澳洲航空料年虧近億美元

澳洲第二大航空公司維京澳洲（Virgin Australia）5日公布獲利預測，上年度虧損恐逾1億澳幣，主因是不利的經濟環境及高額整頓成本。
維京澳洲預估，截至6月30日的會計年度營運狀況，受「大環境及激烈的同業競爭」、組織整頓相關成本，及碳稅開徵的衝擊，「基於以上因素，預估淨損達9,500萬至1.1億澳幣（8,400萬至9,800萬美元）。該公司前一年度有高達2,280萬澳幣淨利。
維京澳洲指出，整頓成本包括引進新訂票及報到系統、併購地區航空業者Skywest、以及收購六成虎航澳洲（Tiger Airways Australia）股票等費用。
但維京航空執行長博格提（John Borghetti）說：「儘管財測不如預期，大環境依舊險惡，我們仍執行了改變遊戲規則的方案。」維京澳洲表示，6月30日當日國內航線訂票筆數，較去年同期增加6%，並預估國內總運量在2014會計年度上半年可望成長3-4%。

| 紐約期金低收逾8美元

外圍金價下跌，美國上月非製造業活動數據較預期強勁，全球最大交易所買賣基金SPDR Gold Shares黃金持倉創4年新低，反映黃金投資意欲減弱，令金價受壓。
紐約12月期金收市報每盎士1302.4美元，跌8.1美元。
現貨金在1303美元水平。
