歐股15日開低走跌，美國於午盤後公布申領失業救濟金人數大減、聯準會(FED)減碼購債機率隨之大增，加之以企業財報利空頻傳，導致三大指數尾盤跌幅加劇。

嘉實XQ全球贏家報價系統顯示，德國DAX指數跌0.73%(61.83點)至8376.29點；英國FTSE-100指數跌1.58%(104.09點)至6483.34點；法國CAC-40指數跌0.51%(21點)至4093.20點。 

區域性指標歐洲Stoxx-600指數重挫1.1%至305.34點，創7月5日以來最大跌幅，也使得連漲紀錄止於5日。當日成交量較100日均值低31%。

美國上週首次申請失業救濟金人數減少1.5萬人至32萬人，優於市場預估的33.5萬人，且為近六年新低。其它重要經濟數據還有，7月份消費者物價指數(CPI)月增0.2%，符合預期；工業生產無增減，不如預期；8月費城、紐約當地製造業景氣判斷指數均呈現下滑。

蘇黎世產物保險(Zurich Insurance)挫3.6%至243瑞士法郎。5、6月中歐洪災導致該公司前季淨利下滑至7.89億瑞士法郎，不如分析師預估的8.24億瑞士法郎。

受埃及軍方持續武裝鎮壓抗議人士影響，英國能源業者BG Group下滑2.4%至1,178便士。布蘭登原油盤中上漲0.8%至每桶111.07美元，為逾四月新高。

英國製藥商葛蘭素史克(GlaxoSmithKline)、AstraZeneca分別跌1.4%與1.7%。摩根史坦利同步調降兩家公司投資等級至「低於大盤」。

重量級礦商力拓(Rio Tinto)收盤時跌2.8%至3103.便士，華爾街日報報導指出，該公司將暫緩蒙古擴產計畫，並計畫裁員1,700人。

煙草公司Imperial Tobacco漲2.6%至2209便士，該公司當日宣布，一種香菸替代商品將在明年上市，可提供消費者多一種吸食尼古丁的選擇。
