| 國是會議 總統重申：不應預設前提

針對民進黨前主席蔡英文批評馬總統拒絕開國是會議，馬英九總統在聖露西亞當地時間16日上午與媒體餐敘時重申，只要不預設議題成為前提，他歡迎與在野黨人士就關心的議題進行國是會議。另外，有關監察院長王建煊廢除監察院一說引爆的風波，馬總統表示，他尚未與王建煊聯絡，等回國後會試圖協助解決。
率團出訪的馬英九總統在聖露西亞當地時間15日上午與聖露西亞觀光部長希歐斐勒等官員及台灣訪問團記者進行餐敘，馬總統打扮休閒，穿著白色Polo衫與會。
馬總統面對媒體詢問監察院長王建煊引爆的風波時表示，事件發生之後，他非常關心，但由於他人在國外，對其中的問題了解有限，也還沒有與王建煊聯絡，等他回國後會再深入了解，並且試圖協助解決。
對於民進黨前主席蔡英文發表聲明批評馬總統拒絕開國是會議，馬總統則回應，他出國前原本以為雙方的會面可以順利進行，但蔡英文突然提出應先宣布停建核四才能表示誠意，又製造了一些人為障礙。
馬總統認為，如果可以回到當初「不設任何議題作為前提」，以這樣的態度討論雙方或者多方所關心的問題，這樣的國是會議才比較有意義，否則每一方都先設一個議題作為前提，討論起來就非常辛苦，這也不是民眾希望的方向。他說：『(原音)因此我再重申一次，只要不預設議題成為前提，我們歡迎跟在野的朋友們，就關心的議題來進行有關的國是會議。』
另外，有關10月電價調漲的部分，馬總統則說，行政院長江宜樺已說明得很清楚，由於這涉及長期的能源政策，所以他尊重行政院的決定。
