| 「818愛擁抱」一步一角銀 募車送餐進偏鄉

【鄭敏玲／台中報導】「818愛擁抱─助老義走」活動今天在台中市文心森林公園舉行，只要每走一步，就由愛心企業贊助一角，購買幫助偏鄉無依老人的送餐車，民眾運動之餘還可以行善，吸引超過500人參與，副市長蔡炳坤也與會一起大步向前行。
老五老基金會董事長林正介表示，8月18日諧音「抱一抱」，因此老五老基金會從去年起開始在這一天舉辦「818愛擁抱」活動，呼籲為人子女用擁抱表達關愛；今日現場來了超過500人，還有家庭是三代同堂一起參加，姊妹花給父母、長輩一個大大的擁抱，場面溫馨動人。
蔡炳坤表示，面對老年問題，現在社會有所謂的「新三代同堂」，夫妻上班、父母在家照顧小孩，體現「家有一老、如有一寶，家有一小、其樂融融」的精神；也有些家庭是「三代同鄰」，方便就近照顧父母。
但他也提醒，仍有許多失依、獨居老人，沒有子女照顧，今日參加活動的民眾都是他們的「一日子女」，以義走的方式募款行善，一起為無依老人購買送餐車，運動之餘還能行善，別具意義；市議員劉士州也與會共襄盛舉。

| 潭美襲台 新北11處破堤工程安全無虞

【曾佳俊／新北報導】潭美颱風夾帶豐沛水氣來襲，預計將帶來強大豪雨，新北市約有11河堤正進行開挖破堤工程，水利局今天一早即兵分三路，針對轄內河川、區排護岸堤防的開挖破堤工地進行稽查，目前11處工地已有4處報完工，其餘經查核後也無問題，皆有臨時堤防阻隔水流，請民眾不用過度驚慌。

| 雞籠中元祭放水燈 請來三軍儀隊拋槍

【戴之聖／基隆報導】為了今天的基隆中元祭放水燈遊行，主辦的謝姓宗親會特邀三軍儀隊前來基隆演出，昨天凌晨零時許趁人車較少時，2百位儀隊成員在海洋廣場彩排，只見他們一邊拋槍一邊變換隊形，立即吸引許多好奇民眾圍觀。主辦單位表示，三軍儀隊都在中正紀念堂演出，這是儀隊首次到基隆並在馬路上表演，肯定更加氣勢磅礡。
