| 日本鹿兒島火山噴發 煙塵高達5千米

【大紀元2013年08月19日訊】日本鹿兒島的櫻島18日下午火山爆發，噴出高5,000米的煙塵，打破當地自1955年開始觀測以來的噴發最高度紀錄。
鹿兒島地方氣象臺說，櫻島的昭和火山口18日下午4時31分發生噴發現象。大量碎石散落山腳，大量火山灰隨西風飄落到鹿兒島市中心，許多居民出行時需撐傘或用手巾捂住口鼻；鹿兒島縣內交通也受影響，部分電車停駛或延誤。
鹿兒島市內天空灰暗，許多車輛點亮大燈行駛，並捲起火山灰。
氣象臺說，至今還沒觀察到會發生大規模噴發的徵兆，但地下深處積有岩漿，呼籲民眾今後還是要對火山活動提高警覺。
櫻島是位於九州鹿兒島灣內的活火山島，海拔800公尺，由北嶽、中嶽、南嶽3座火山體組成，面積77平方公里，這是櫻島火山今年以來第500次爆發。
