在印地安人隊小聯盟3A奮戰，始終未在大聯盟亮相的松坂大輔，今天主動向球團要求無條件釋出，印地安人也接受松坂的請求，讓他成為自由球員。

雖然表現上看似終點，不過很可能代表著另一個起點。
今年都在印地安人隊的小聯盟3A奮戰，始終未在大聯盟亮相的平成怪物松坂大輔，今天主動向球團要求無條件釋出，印地安人也決定接受松坂的請求，讓他成為自由球員，雙方結束賓主關係。
松坂今年在印隊3A哥倫布快艇先發19場，戰績5勝8敗，自責分率3.92，並不起眼，不過松坂最近8場先發漸入佳境，其中7場至少投滿7局，拿下4勝3敗，自責分率2.50，近況相當不錯。
然而印地安人目前在大聯盟的投手陣容中，先發輪值額滿，若有人臨時出狀況，印隊也比較喜歡叫上年輕的塞拉薩(Danny Salazar)頂替，松坂留在球隊沒有發展空間，可能促使松坂決定另謀高就，尋找舞台。
松坂在個人推特上表示，「我在哥倫布市結交了很棒的朋友，我很喜歡哥倫布市的街道。今天早上我和隊友們道別，這期間非常開心，也收到許多禮物，讓我感到更加感傷。真的十分感謝。」
松坂的決定可能代表兩個情況，一是由於目前距離球季結束只剩一個多月，本季若想重返大聯盟，在明知留在印隊毫無機會下，趁早選擇離開，早日跟所有其他球隊接觸才較有希望。
甚至松坂若能加盟有望打進季後賽球隊，只要在8月31日前曾上到該隊大聯盟，還有機會打季後賽。
另一種可能就是松坂對於重返大聯盟已有一定程度的把握，甚至檯面下已有球隊想要網羅他，才會主動提出離隊請求。
但不論是那種可能，以松坂的近況加上他的知名度，這次的釋出應不是結束，而是另一個階段的開始。
