【綜合報導】前伊朗總統拉夫桑賈尼（Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani）1日對伊朗媒體表示，他相信敘利亞政府應該要為以化武攻擊平民負責任，這與伊朗官方論調支持敘利亞阿塞德政權的立場明顯不同。
 
拉夫桑賈尼還說，敘利亞人民先前被政府當成施放化武的對象，不久後又將成為「外國攻擊的目標」，語帶憐憫。另外，沙烏地阿拉伯外長法伊沙（Saud al-Faisal）1日則是敦促阿拉伯國家，一定要支持美國動武制裁敘利亞的行動，法伊沙表示，國際社會對敘利亞的援助，可以結束目前血流成河的內戰殺戮；阿拉伯國家聯盟1日已公開支持美國以軍事行動制裁敘利亞。

【綜合報導】日本動畫大師宮崎駿告別作《風起》，在日本上映6周後，總票房已高達80億日圓（約24.4億元台幣）。日前中文版預告也在網路上釋出。

宮崎駿所屬的吉卜力工作室社長星野康二，昨天(1日)在威尼斯影展記者會上宣布72歲的宮崎駿將正式退出動畫長片的製作，《風起》也成為他參與的最後一部長篇作品。星野表示，宮崎駿過去多次獲邀參加威尼斯影展，也在此認識許多來自世界各地的朋友，因此選擇在威尼斯宣布這個重大決定。宮崎駿6日將在東京召開記者會，親自說明決定退出長篇動畫製作的心情轉折。《風起》18日在台上映。
