| 荷爾蒙水準 預測孕婦糖尿病機率

體內荷爾蒙「脂聯素」水準較低的孕婦，罹患妊娠糖尿病的風險高出一般人七倍。美國凱薩醫療機構研究人員莫尼克·赫德森表示，脂聯素可用於預測妊娠糖尿病的發生機率。
莫尼克·赫德森說，研究發現脂聯素水準高的孕婦，一旦過重，妊娠糖尿病風險約高出體重正常者二倍；然而脂聯素水準較低的孕婦患病風險高出七倍。脂聯素是一種胰島素增敏荷爾蒙，有助改善動物胰島素抗性；人體的研究發現，脂聯素水準有助預測二型糖尿病的發展。
若懷孕前已體重過重，或在懷孕期間體重增加過多，妊娠糖尿病風險大增。懷孕接近二十八周左右體內醣類代謝較差，醫師指導的安全運動，可以幫助孕婦控制孕期的體重不要過重，避免肥胖引發的併發症。一旦引發妊娠糖尿病，易引起巨嬰症、胎兒先天性畸形、羊水過多、死胎、早產、泌尿道感染、酮酸血症等，不但影響胎兒發育，也危害母親健康。
病情嚴重的糖尿病患者儘管必須注射胰島素。醫師提醒，除了胰島素缺乏的第一型患者，懷孕患者、患有急性疾病如感染症、心肌梗塞、或接受手術者，及對口服降血糖藥失效、有禁忌、過敏等患者，均必須以胰島素注射進行治療。

【綜合報導】加拿大不列哥倫比亞省一小鎮，早前傳出令人害怕的巨大聲音，民眾拍下影片上傳到影音網站YouTube上，上傳4日就有19萬次點閱率。
上傳影片的民眾聲稱，這是第二次聽到刺耳的聲音，當中還夾雜喇叭聲、防空警報和拉動椅桌的聲音，而且聲音非常響亮，有點像恐怖電影中配樂，鄰居聽到都感到害怕。看了影片的網友認為聲音是由大型卡車發出，但也有人懷疑影片造假，當地警方正追查聲音來源。
