三星於IFA 2013柏林消費電子展前，在當地舉辦發表會揭露了旗下大螢幕手機Note系列最新一代機種：GALAXY Note 3。具有比前一代更大的螢幕、強化的S Pen及多工處理能力，同時也一併發表了搭配Note 3使用的GALAXY Gear智慧型手錶。

GALAXY Note 3擁有5.7吋full HD Super AMOLED螢幕，比前一代Note 2還要大，但機身更薄更窄，採用柔軟有紋路的背蓋，在邊緣並有縫線設計，模擬真實的筆記本質感。

具備3GB超大記憶體以及3200mAh大容量電池，背部主相機1300萬畫素，配備高CRI LED閃燈、智慧防手震，以及支援最新CAT4 LTE技術。

除了規格上的提昇之外，最大的不同在強化過的數位筆S Pen，只要將S Pen懸浮在螢幕上，按下按鍵便可呼叫出Air Command，提供5種工具：

Action Memo：可辨識手寫內容，自動做相對應處理。比如辨識出手寫電話號碼，就可以直接打電話或加入通訊錄，或是在地圖上搜尋一段手寫地址，或是直接搜尋網路、或是存入待辦事項等。
Scrapbook：可以從網路、YouTube或相簿中擷取內容存入Scrapbook，並保留來源網址，以便日後追蹤。
Screen Write：擷取螢幕畫面，並在其上加入註解或筆記等
S Finder：搜尋手機中所有的資料，並可以辨認手寫內容、符號、公式等。
Pen Window：用S Pen在螢幕上畫出一個方形，就會轉變為小工具視窗，提供多工處理的效果，並且不會中斷目前正在進行的工作。
