【綜合報導】美國奧克拉荷馬州因濕涼氣候，吸引大量蟋蟀來襲，當地處處可見蟋蟀軍團，從建築物牆上，馬路邊到民宅內，居民不堪其擾展開撲殺，沒想到問題更加嚴重。

不只因為蟋蟀會發出可怕的惡臭，猶如腐肉的味道，和擾人的叫聲，蟋蟀喜歡吃屍體的特性，撲殺蟋蟀只會製造更多食物，造成更多蟋蟀繁衍，不過根據奧克拉荷馬大學教授表示，這波蟋蟀災難只會再多維持數星期就可結束，蟋蟀交配產卵後就會死亡。
