照壁，是中国传统建筑特有的部分。明朝时特别流行，一般讲，在大门内的屏蔽物。古人称之为：“萧墙”。因而有萧墙之说。在旧时，人们认为自己宅中不断有鬼来访，修上一堵墙，以断鬼的来路。因为据说小鬼只走直线，不会转弯。另一说法为照壁是中国受风水意识影响而产生的一种独具特色的建筑形式，称“影壁”或“屏风墙”。

【賴宇萍╱綜合外電報導】前世界銀行副總裁林毅夫在廈門召開的「2013年國際投資論壇」上表示，展望未來，中國應該還有20年平均每年經濟成長8%的潛力，預估至2020年，人均收入可望達8800美元（26.4萬元台幣）。

林毅夫指出，在1979年中國開始進行改革開放時，人均收入僅185美元（5550元台幣），但在2012年，中國的人均收入已達6100美元（18.3萬元台幣），成為中等偏上收入的國家；若能持續進行改革開放，2020年將晉升高收入國家。
