美國科技評論網站CNET發文大批iPhone 5S「創新程度極差」，並羅列這款新iPhone的五大缺點，包括螢幕仍然只有4吋，用更快速的處理器沒有太大意義，而且電池續航力依然沒改善。CNET形容iPhone5S「只追上對手一點點，沒太大創新」。

| 高師生比 加馬吉爾大學排名降

最近公布的2013QS世界大學排行榜中，加拿大多年來國內排名始終第一的蒙特婁馬吉爾大學（McGill University）排名下降，從去年的第18名降至第21名，甚至落後多倫多大學。
馬吉爾大學2011年的世界排名為第17。多倫多大學今年的世界排名從2012年的第19名升至第17名。多倫多大學2011年的世界排名為第23名。
多倫多大學校長內勒（David Naylor）表示，在資金困窘的情形下，該校還能擠進世界排名前20名，深感安慰。他說，這一排名是該校師生卓越表現的見證。
馬吉爾大學校長傅蒂耶（Suzanne Fortier）表示，她對馬吉爾大學仍能擠進世界排名前25名感到驕傲。她說，這是馬吉爾大學走向世界及其影響力使然。
傅蒂耶表示，馬吉爾大學世界排名下降，主因學生與教師的高師生比，有必要改進，因學生與教師直接接觸愈多，有助學生日後入社會，發揮創造力，希望政府能增加對大學的補助。
馬吉爾大學過去一直被譽為「北方的哈佛」，但2013 QS世界大學排行榜公布前，英國「泰晤士報高等教育特刊」公布2013世界大學排名榜（Times HigherEducation World Reputation Rankings），也調降馬吉爾大學世界排名。
泰晤士高等教育聲譽排行榜中，馬吉爾大學的世界排名從前25名退至第31名，而多倫多大學表現不俗，排名第16。
