| 華府槍擊凶嫌 曾在美海軍服役

美國海軍官員告訴記者，華府海軍工廠今天槍擊案的凶嫌之一、34歲的亞歷克西（Aaron Alexis）在2007年5月至2011年元月間，曾在海軍後備艦隊正式服役。
這名官員並說，至於案發的此時，亞歷克西是否以平民身份在華府海軍工廠工作，現仍無法確定。

| 股匯齊揚 台股大漲112點

美國前財政部長桑默斯(Lawrence Summers)宣布退出角逐聯準會(Fed)主席後，美股大漲，激勵台股在內的亞洲股市上揚；加上蘋果iPhone 5C銷售傳出佳績，使得台北股市今天(16日)開盤後類股齊揚，終場上漲112點，收8255點。匯市部分，收盤升值1.21角，收在29.721元。
台北股市14日因中秋連假補交易，成交量創新低。但台股16日一開盤就開高走高，主要是美國前財政部長桑默斯(Lawrence Summers)宣布退出角逐聯準會(Fed)主席後，歐美股市大漲，進而帶動亞洲股市上揚；此外，先前不被看好的蘋果新機iPhone 5C銷售傳出佳績，使蘋果供應鏈相關各股在利多出盡後反彈上揚。
股市分析師指出，今日各類股齊揚，傳產股、電子股及金融股都走升，讓大盤不畏國內政局紛擾，順利突破波段反彈的高點。分析師許博傑說：『(原音)短線上當然國際股市利多的激勵是重要的因素；但後面來看，大家會認為整個政局的紛擾、9月18日FOMC(美國聯邦公開市場委員會)會議後，到底QE縮減的程度是怎麼樣，或是會有延後的預期，現在很多不確定的因素，但是指數可以在這裡以接近800億的量能創下波段新高，代表目前台股的籌碼面是相對安定。』
儘管目前有諸多不確定因素，但隨著第4季進入出口與訂單旺季，台股基本面將慢慢反應，只要量能持續放大，外資買超趨勢也不間斷，後續仍看漲。
匯市部分，因美元走軟、亞洲貨幣走強，新台幣兌美元匯價收盤升1.21角，達29.721元，成交金額8.05億美元。
