【大紀元2013年09月17日訊】(大紀元記者司瑞費城報導)費城地區最大的環保活動「費城綠色節」（Greenfest Philly）於9月8日在費城南街（South Street）舉行。今年是第8屆，有79家機構、企業和團體參展。

活動期間，很多環保物品讓來賓大開眼界，如：在城市出產的「城市蜂蜜」（Urban Honey）；不用化學原料製造的床墊；天然原材料製作的「誠實茶」（Honest Tea）飲料；用少量水即可清潔車輛的清潔劑；用植物和礦物質製造的天然油漆。還有以自行車腳踏為動力的搾汁機，制做可口的水果飲料。許多展位提供咨詢，幫助民眾自己動手打造綠色家居；檢測水和空氣質量；提供綠色能源服務。大棚裡新鮮的有機蔬菜、水果、奶製品、肉類尤其得到人們的青睞。此外，很多展位還向人們征簽議案，希望這些與民生緊密相關的議案能夠得到政府相關部門的重視，其中最吸引人的提案包括：「Ban Fracking」提議禁止使用壓裂法開採石油和天然氣；「GMO Free Pennsylvania」關於監督和禁止使用轉基因食物等。

「費城綠色節」總負責人、「費城淨化空氣管理委員會」（Clean Air Council）特別活動總監凱蒂‧愛德華茲（Katie Edwards）表示：「我們希望前來參加活動的人走走看看，和參展的攤位聊聊，看看他們在幹嘛，為什麼要這樣做？你們的想法是從哪裡來的？怎麼把這些主意變成現實？我們希望大家能夠好好想想。」

本次活動由因衛生及森林產品享譽世界、同時也是本地最具發展潛力的SCA公司與費城市政府直屬的「淨化空氣管理委員會」共同舉辦。活動旨在鼓勵綠色環保、鼓勵創新，並通過這一活動為本地企業、團體提供資助金援。
