洛杉磯湖人傳奇名將「天鉤」Kareem Abdul-Jabbar上季指導完「魔獸」Dwight Howard後，他老人家很是感慨，不僅在Facebook抱怨，4日還在《ESPN》節目上批評這位「不成材」的弟子。
8月時，Abdul-Jabbar在Facebook上是這麼說的：「有句話叫『江郎才盡』，Dwight Howard就是最好的例子，湖人球迷得耐心等待總管在自由市場上找人了。」
還不夠狠？
今天，Abdul-Jabbar接受節目《First Take》訪問，他先醞釀著說：「Dwight擁有超凡的運動力，有著不可思議的體能。」
「但是，籃球比賽不是全靠肌肉，Dwight的籃球智商成長太慢，他無法成為一位統治者，他在場上還有很大的問題，而且他沒有得分絕招。」Abdul-Jabbar說。
2009年總冠軍賽，湖人以Pau Gasol、Andrew Bynum為首的禁區徹底擊潰了Howard領軍的奧蘭多魔術，「天鉤」也談到了當時魔獸的問題所在。
「無論是攻擊還是防守，他的技巧都必須再進步，否則他無法為勝利做出貢獻，直到現在還是一樣。」Abdul-Jabbar說。
「他得抓住重點，知道要朝哪個方向努力，否則他永遠都只能站在『偉大』的邊緣，至於能不能跨過那條線，得看他自己。」Abdul-Jabbar說。
