| 立委籌組監聽受害聯盟 擬提民事求償

立法院總機遭監聽疑雲，國會助理籌組「監聽受害者聯盟」號召受害立委、助理、記者及洽公民眾站出來，積極串聯，共同告發特偵組，擬提出民事求償。聯盟發言人林珮菁表示，特偵組違法濫權，法務部應儘速將黃世銘停職交付調查。
聯盟指出，遭監聽之立法院總機，位處設立最多立法委員研究室的中興大樓內，該電話線自1997年使用迄今，延伸電話線高達上千條，受害人遍及立法委員、助理、行政官員、國會記者及洽公民眾，使得受害人秘密通訊權、隱私及個人資料全遭埋葬。聯盟期待受害者積極連署，預計明天上午舉行告發活動。

| 白宮宣布歐巴馬總統取消亞洲行

美國白宮美東時間10月3日晚間宣布，由於美國聯邦政府關門爭議未解，歐巴馬總統取消原訂前往印尼、汶萊出席亞太經濟合作會議、東亞峰會的計畫，改由國務卿柯瑞代表出席。
歐巴馬原本10月5日離開華府，展開為期一周的亞洲行，但因為白宮與國會陷入預算僵局，導致聯邦政府關門。白宮繼宣布取消訪問馬來西亞和菲律賓後，今晚再臨時宣布取消這趟亞洲行。
