| 新北市公佈放寬低收入戶及中低收入戶認定標準

(記者黃秀麗新北報導)新北市政府公佈103年度新北市低收入戶及中低收入戶最低生活費標準，從原來的1萬1,832元調高為1萬2,439元，意即放寬「低收入戶及中低收入戶」的審核認定標準，讓更多的民眾可以獲得市府的各項福利補助。
市府社會局表示，依據社會救助法第4條及第4條之1的規定，公告低收入戶最低生活費每人每月1萬2,439元，動產金額每人每年7萬5,000元，不動產金額則為每戶350萬元；中低收入戶則為最低生活費的1.5倍，每人每月不超過1萬8,659元整，動產金額為每人每年11萬2,500元，不動產金額每戶525萬元。
市府社會局表示，調整這項規定，意味著放寬低收入戶及中低收入戶的審核認定標準，可以讓更多具有低收入戶及中低收入戶資格的民眾，獲得市府的各項福利補助。2013/10/03

| 美國田納西州巴士爆胎翻覆已8死8危殆

【大紀元2013年10月03日訊】（大紀元記者韓婕編譯）（大紀元記者韓婕編譯）美國田納西州一輛教堂巴士星期三（2日）在高速公路上爆胎，巴士衝向逆向車道，撞上一輛越野車和一輛聯結車，造成至少8人死亡。
根據田納西州安全部門發言人奎爾斯（Dalya Qualls）表示，在東北部田納西的40號州際公路上行駛的一輛客車越過分隔線，撞向反向行駛的聯結車和汽車，造成聯結車起火燃燒，巴士翻覆。除死亡的8人外，另有14人受傷，其中8人情況危殆。在巴士上有18人，其中6人死亡；越野車上的3人中有1人死亡；聯結車的司機也死亡。
由於交通意外，傑克遜郡（Jefferson）的40號州際公路雙向線道已暫時關閉。
據悉，這輛巴士載著北卡羅萊納州史塔堤斯威爾（Statesville）的浸信會教會成員，他們才結束3天的教會活動，從田納西的蓋特林堡（Gatlinburg）回程中，下午2點時遭遇爆胎意外。車禍數小時後，公路兩旁被燒焦的聯結車和樹叢仍冒著滾滾濃煙。
田納西大學醫學中心發言人韋特（Susan Wyatt）說，有12名傷者送達醫院，4名傷者由直升機送達，車禍4小時後，仍有2名傷者未送到。已送院者2人危殆，2人情況隱定。
