| 家長小心 竹市國中小人行道全面禁菸違者罰款

新竹市為維護學童健康，避免暴露於二手菸環境中，衛生局依菸害防制法規定，即日起將全市國中小和高中職以下校園週圍人行道，全都納入禁菸範圍。家長們如果接送小孩菸癮難耐，在人行道上吸菸，將被處以兩千元到一萬元不等的罰款。(彭清仁報導)
新竹市衛生局指出，為了維護學生的健康，衛生局依菸害防制法第15條規定，自即日日起將「國中小、高中職以下校園周圍人行道」納入禁菸政策的範圍內，違反者可依菸害防制法第31條，處新台幣兩千元至一萬元不等的罰款。
市長許明財表示，衛生局在今年的四月廿九日市務會議報告禁菸公告與草案內容，決定參照台北市實施的經驗，做好宣導和監督，保障無菸環境。市府也在全市各國中小和高中職以下學校週圍人行道，設立禁菸標語和宣導布條，同時透過學生向家長們告知，在接送學生上下學時，如果在人行道上吸菸，將被處以兩千元到一萬元的罰款。而家長們對市府的這項規定，大都相當支持，即使有菸癮的家長們，也認為在接送孩子上下學的過程中，忍一忍就過了！否則因為在人行道吸菸被開罰，在學的子女也顏面無光。至於一般民眾如果在學校附近的人行道吸菸，即使不是上下學時間，如果被市府相關人員發現蒐證，一樣會被開罰的。

| 滅王？ 馬：還為王修改黨章連任

對於外界頻以「滅王」形容總統馬英九因為司法關說案「鍘王」，馬總統今天接受專訪時，表示他和王是多年朋友，還「特別為他修改不分區立委提名辦法」（指國民黨修改不分區立委提名規定，讓立法院長可連續擔任三屆不分區立委），對王非常重視。
馬總統說，外界說要把王幹掉、滅王，都是子虛烏有。他最後還是強調，社會不應偏離焦點，全案起源還是國會議長為反對黨黨鞭做司法關說，這對司法紀律而言，有非常嚴重影響，尤其對弱勢來說，更不公平。
至於監聽部分，馬總統認為監聽雖然是刑事調查的重要方法，但對人民的隱私會有傷害，所以要合乎比例原則，「違法監聽，都應該究辦」。
