【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】從影片中可看到，黑色汽車急速開往國會山莊，數台警車在後方追逐，黑色汽車停下，遭多名持槍警察包圍，根據現場目擊者描述，警方要求女子下車，企圖打開副駕駛座的車門，但女子倒車撞上另一台警車，準備開車逃逸，此時響起數十聲槍響，接著黑色汽車撞上路障，據傳女子遭槍擊，車上一名年約3到4歲的孩童，已送往醫院。
根據最新消息傳出，這名女子居住在康乃狄克州，警方已申請搜查令，計畫前往她家中搜查，女子狀況依舊不明，也不清楚她的動機為何，是否有持槍。
