| 北愛談判破裂 未達成協議

北愛爾蘭會談的各方雖然經過30日的徹夜談判，依然無法就遊行以及懸掛旗幟等若干主要問題達成協定，這也是北愛天主教徒和新教徒之間，爭議持續的主要原因。
由美國特使哈斯(Richard Haass)主持的這項會談，在今天(31日)清晨破裂，沒有達成協定。哈斯表示，一個由五大黨派組成的工作小組，現在將尋求其他途徑，以繼續推動這項進程。哈斯表示，在邁向一個實質性協議方面，已經出現進展。
這項談判已經進行了6個月，原本預定在耶誕節前達成協議，但即使拖到今天，依然沒有達成協定。
哈斯表示，他相信，截至目前為止所做的，已經奠定了足夠堅實的基礎。
英國首相卡麥隆(David Cameron)則是對談判的結果表示失望，但仍呼籲北愛各政治黨派繼續努力，以打破僵局。
會談是否達成協定攸關北愛未來的和平，而會談成敗的關鍵在於，天主教徒是否反對新教徒遊行、各方懸掛旗幟的權利，以及如何紀念在數十年衝突中的死難人士。
