經濟合作發展組織（OECD）八日公布廿四個富國國民基本能力調查報告，義大利和西班牙在讀寫和算術能力評比中都墊底，日本則都位居第一。

OECD共測試十六萬六千名成人的讀寫、算術和解決問題能力，推估發現受測國家中，有數百萬成人連使用滑鼠等基本電腦技能都不會，各國「電腦文盲」的比率從百分之七到百分之廿七不等。
