中國大陸陜西旬陽縣發生森林大火，至少8人死亡。
森林大火在昨天下午發生，9名村民上山撲火期間，8人重傷，搶救無效不治。
當地消防、林業、公安、衛生等多個部門已派人到場救援，並繼續撲救山火，周邊群眾已經全部疏散到安全區域。

| 重慶興建中橋樑倒塌 增至11人失蹤

中國大陸重慶一座興建中的橋樑倒塌，新華社報導，失蹤人數增至11人。
昨天上午10時許，豐都長江二橋工地4號橋墩，因浮吊懸臂脫落，導致橋樑倒塌，至今知道有11人失蹤，包括10名工人，另1人在岸邊洗衣服，被浪捲走，另有2名傷者送院，並無生命危險。
事發後，當地成立8個工作組，出動16艘船隻，超過140人搜救失蹤者。現場施工已停止，相關責任人已被扣查。

| 世銀：美邁向極其危險關頭

世界銀行總裁金墉（Jim Yong Kim）今天警告指出，由於政治人物再度無法解決預算和舉債上限僵局，美國正邁向險境。
金墉在世界銀行和國際貨幣基金（IMF）華府年會閉幕時表示：「如今我們距離極其危險關頭僅剩5天。」
金墉指出，如果美國國會不提高16.7兆美元的舉債上限，美國和全球經濟勢必會面臨利率走揚、信心跌落及成長減緩。
美國財政部先前表示，如果未提高舉債上限，最早於10月17日，它就會無適當現金來支付美國的所有帳單。
那將引發美國政府可能倒債的疑慮，勢必會導致全球金融市場動盪。
金墉說：「愈逼近這個最後期限，對開發中世界的衝擊就會愈大。倘若真的發生了，對開發中國家可能會是一場災難，到頭來也會大幅傷害已開發經濟體。」
金墉又說：「我敦促美國決策者，致力避開這個危機。」
美國聯邦政府部分停擺以及未能提高舉債上限僵局，已歷時12天。
