全球經濟景氣尚未完全復甦，市場買氣不振，加上平板電腦興起，侵蝕筆電市場需求，市場研究機構拓墣產業研究所經理張乘維預估，今年筆電出貨約為1.72億台，年衰退14%，明年在商用市場換機潮，以及低價二合一產品問世之下，筆電出貨衰退率將減至6%，來到1.62億台，宏碁 (2353)、華碩 (2357)在今年估有20%以上的衰退，明年表現也將劣於市場平均，而商用機種比重較高的戴爾 (Dell)相對受影響程度較小。

平板電腦推出後，成功吸引市場買氣，帶來高幅度的成長率，2010年出貨僅1700萬台，2011年大增2.74倍，來到6200萬台，2012年更站上億台大關，為1.13億台，今年將增至1.72 億台，年增率也逐漸趨緩，不過仍有51%，但明年成長率將再降至20%，為2.06億台。

面對平板電腦快速興起，筆電市場飽受威脅，華碩、宏碁營運最受傷，根據拓墣預估今年筆電品牌市占排名上，聯想位居冠軍寶座，惠普 (HP)則為亞軍，第三、四名為戴爾、宏碁雙方差距相當小，華碩則為第五，東芝、三星、蘋果、索尼、富士通則名列第六到第十名位置，而明年各廠出貨年減率在3.4-6.9%不等，惠普、富士通減幅最大，戴爾因商用機種布局有成，年減率最小，而宏碁、華碩年減率分別為6.8%、6.4%。

張乘維指出，明年筆電市場趨勢將有二合一變形筆電機種增加、商用出貨將優於消費用筆電、品牌委外代工集中化。聯想提高自製率至44%，戴爾、宏碁紛紛拉升仁寶代工比重，降低緯創訂單，而華碩則是提升廣達代工占比，仁寶代工已經降至零，三星全數拉回自製。

整體來看，各廠品牌廠自製率比重大幅增至29.2%，而其他筆電代工廠明年則是全數下滑，廣達 (2382)為代工一哥占比為38.2%、仁寶 (2324)34.5%位居第二、緯創 (3231)為20.5%、和碩 (4938)13.9%、英業達 (2356)也降至18.1%。

而在觸控筆電部分，今年觸控筆電出貨量為2050萬台，滲透率約為12%，預期明年再英特爾力推低價二合一產品之下，將成功拉升觸控筆電出貨量大增82%，觸控滲透率也將提升至23%水準。
