| 大陸人民法院：嚴控死刑 防冤假錯案

中國大陸最高人民法院院長周強昨天說，要嚴格控制和慎重適用死刑；切實做好冤假錯案預防糾正工作，推動公正司法、提升司法公信正能量。
中新社今天報導，第6次全國刑事審判工作會議14日在北京開幕，周強在會議上表示，要努力在新的起點上推進法治中國、平安中國建設。
周強表示，要充分利用報紙、廣播、電視等傳統媒體和網路、微博、微信等新興媒體，全面公開案件審理過程，以司法公開及時回應社會關切。
他說，要嚴厲打擊殺人、搶劫、綁架、強姦等嚴重暴力犯罪；依法懲治貪污、賄賂、瀆職犯罪，推動反腐敗鬥爭深入開展。
周強指出，要積極推進刑事司法改革以及相關改革。要完善刑事審判權運行機制，推進審判組織改革，科學界定合議庭、審委會的職責，完善主審法官、合議庭辦案責任制，規範司法行為，把好刑事案件質量關。
