在客場吞下二連敗的道奇，今天在國聯冠軍賽第三戰回到主場，靠著韓籍左投柳賢振回穩主投七局無失分，只被打出三安的好投，力退韋恩萊特 (Adam Wainwright)，終場以3:0獲勝，扳回一城。

前兩場在得點圈打擊16打數僅有一安的道奇，終於有斬獲，全場出現九支安打，並且在四局先突破，艾利斯 (Mark Ellis)先送出二壘安打，岡薩雷茲 (Adrian Gonzalez)在一人出局後打出一分打點的二壘安打，走出在此之前道奇隊全隊得點圈打擊 17打數僅一安打的低迷，並且中止道奇連續22局未得分的窘境。

在兩人出局且三壘有人時，古巴選手普伊格 (Yasiel Puig)送出三壘安打，打下第二分，普伊格一度以為是支全壘打，站在本壘區開心高舉雙手慶祝，結果球打在全壘打牆上沒出去，但他仍打出這個系列賽首安與首分打點，同時中止連續11打數掛零且吞下7次三振的難堪紀錄。

來到八局下半道奇攻勢再起，第一戰被球吻打傷左側肋骨的拉米瑞茲(Hanley Ramirez)，在一、二壘有人時，敲出德州一壘安打，二壘跑者克勞佛 (Carl Crawford)一鼓作氣衝回本壘得分，攻下保險的第三分。

柳賢振在分區決賽第三戰對勇士先發，僅投三局失四分，但球隊還是贏球，今天面對紅雀挑戰三連勝聽牌的關鍵戰，跳出來當英雄，前四局保持無安打，直到五局才被首位打者弗里斯 (David Freese)打出全隊的第一安，弗里斯因小腿緊繃換代跑，雖然柳賢振單局被敲出兩安，首度被攻占得點圈，仍成功守住無失分。

直到七局紅雀再出現第三支安打，柳賢振以三振亞當斯 (Matt Adams)化解危機，以無失分完成先發七局任務，拿下生涯季後賽首勝，另送出四次三振與一次保送。

紅雀總教練馬西尼 (Mike Matheny)認為柳賢振勝出的關鍵，在於能取得球數領先，並在挑戰本壘板有控制性的優勢。

紅雀王牌投手韋恩萊特主投七局掉兩分，被打出六支安打，送出五次三振，沒有任何保送，無奈隊友火力不濟，全場只有四安，吞下今年季後賽首敗，也中止二連勝投。

紅雀自從上一場第五局攻下致勝的一分後，至今未再攻下任何分數。
