【劉邠如、施旖婕／綜合外電報導】美人魚、尼斯湖水怪，以及喜馬拉雅山雪人，過去都是傳說中的奇妙物種，每隔一段時間，總有人宣稱，看見了牠們，卻始終找不到證據證明。就算拍到了影片，也是模模糊糊的，難以判斷真假。但現在卻有科學家宣稱，至少”雪人”有可能是真的，而且其實”牠”還是個混血兒。
英國牛津大學人類學系教授希卡斯(Bryan Sykes)，將疑似是雪人的毛髮樣本，帶到實驗室中，進行DNA測試，最後竟然發現，雪人的DNA，與一種在挪威出沒、大約有12萬年歷史的古代北極熊DNA非常吻合。也因此希卡斯推論，最合理的解釋，就是雪人其實就是北極熊和棕熊雜交後，產下的後代。
英國學者希卡斯研究指出，雪人可能是北極熊和棕熊雜交的後代。香港《蘋果日報》
