【李寧怡／綜合外電報導】日本共同社今天報導，美國國家安全局（NSA）曾在2011年前後向日本政府提出請求，希望協助監控透過光纖電纜傳輸的網路及電話通聯，意圖蒐集中國情報。不過日本以法律限制及情報人員不足為由，拒絕此一請求。
 
報導指出，由於中國的國際光纜及連接亞太地區的大部分光纜，都途經日本，美國此舉被視為旨在搜集中方情報。消息人士稱，NSA原本希望日方在光纜上安裝監控設備，以獲取包括網路聯繫及通話紀錄在內的資訊，但遭日本拒絕。

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】蘋果（Apple）的新iPad已經發表，Google的新一代平板電腦何時登場，讓許多3C迷望眼欲穿，由於Nexus 10在Google Play上已經沒有存貨，而且最近連產品頁面都被移除，許多科技網站認為這是新一代Nexus 10即將現身的訊號，10月31日很可能就會正式開賣。

網傳新Neuxs 10是由華碩打造，配備解析度2560×1600的10吋IPS螢幕，搭載高通四核心處理器（可能是驍龍800）、2GB記憶體、32GB儲存空間、Android 4.4 KitKat作業系統。

【王毓健／綜合報導】企業9年甲級排球聯賽下半季今在輔仁大學中美堂開打，男子組龍頭國訓中心有驚無險3比2險勝conti，以16連勝繼續維持不敗；女子組榜首台電也以3比0完封匯閎國際，拿下10連勝。
 
男子組墊底球隊conti本季尚無勝場，此役賽前僅憑3場2比3惜敗撈到3積分，但今戰首強國訓，以16比25、17比25連丟2局後，竟以25比16、25比20連追2局，拼到決勝局才以10比15敗陣。
 
上半季替conti出賽，下半季因入伍轉隊國訓的攻擊手黃世豪說：「在國訓大家都是國家預備選手，基本動作紮實，訓練以團隊合作為主。如果可以，下半季也希望能幫這支隊伍挑戰全勝。」
 
國訓上半季靠3名重砲攻擊手戰績長紅，下半季三劍客之一王明俊退伍歸建母隊台電，剩黃建逢、戴家瑞，黃世豪能否補上形成新三劍客體制，可能影響戰績。
 
男子組今另1戰，台電雖從國訓要回王明俊和舉球員鄭儒謙，但打MIZUNO還是贏得驚險，同樣鏖戰5局後，才以25比20、20比25、16比25、26比24、15比13，局數3比2驚險逆轉。
 
台電隊長陳保宏說：「明俊神經比較大條，也愛搞笑，是優點也是缺點。還好最後還是幫我們挽回頹勢。」展望下半季，他則表示：「希望拿全勝，把上半季落後的要回來。」
