據英國《每日郵報》10月23日報導，英國瑞安航空公司近日，推出全新的空姐慈善寫真日曆。畫面中，數名空姐半裸出鏡，亮相倫敦街頭，引來了公眾關注。藉此慈善日曆，該公司不僅是為青少年癌症信託基金(Teenage Cancer Trust)籌得善款，同時也期望提升自身形象。

根據環球網報導，儘管此次推出慈善日曆之舉的出發點是為了給指定的慈善機構募款，但是，當一行11名空姐上身穿著內衣半裸出現在倫敦維多利亞火車站時，這似乎與航空公司企圖展現的家庭友善形象大相徑庭。而此前，該航空公司董事長邁克爾·奧利里在網上與顧客進行交流時，就慘遭網友炮轟。隨後，邁克爾便打算一改往日的狂妄自負，就公司過於突兀武斷的文化向公眾道歉，並樹立公司親民友善的形象。

自瑞安公司推出首個慈善日曆後，該公司的預算提高了近60萬英鎊。據該公司職員羅賓·吉利透露，瑞安空姐慈善日曆每年的銷售量多達1萬本，其所得收益將捐贈給青少年癌症信託基金，幫助治療患癌青少年。

【動新聞╱綜合外電報導】美國亞利桑納州發生一起兒子殺害母親的不幸消息，而且讓人難過的是，16歲的兒子殺死母親的原因，居然只是因為不滿媽媽將他的手機沒收。

16歲的兒子賀姆斯落網後向警方供稱，他因不滿母親將他禁足還沒收他的手機，於是找了17歲的好朋友幫忙把風，趁著母親下班回家後行兇。警方在現場也找到了榔頭和平底鍋，懷疑這就是賀姆斯殺害母親的行兇工具。繼父返家後發現，還被繼子拿著平底鍋追殺，逃出後才向警方報案。

目前坦承殺害母親的兒子賀姆斯，被控一級謀殺罪與毀損證據，目前住進少年觀護所中。

【陳方瑩／南投報導】南投縣關懷動物協會今天在埔里鎮樹人路夜市廣場，舉行一場另類「貓靈狗靈超度法會」，現場掛滿近年協會處理的虐死、病死貓狗照片，並準備兩艘法船，及大批素食飼料、紙蓮花與紙元寶等供品，志工及飼主跟隨法師誦經超度，希望無主的貓狗靈放下執著，原諒曾經拋棄、虐待殘殺牠們的人類，早日脫離苦海。

理事長李虹真指出，協會每年受理棄養及施虐動物中，超過250隻死於非命慘不忍睹，其他未被發現及時搶救的，更是不勝其數，呼籲民眾愛牠就不要拋棄牠，眾生平等尊重生命。
