各單項冠軍分別是，「基本繩結」冠軍光復義消分隊、「背水帶跑百米」冠軍埔頂義消分隊、「負重救生」冠軍救生義消分隊、「小幫浦射水」冠軍南寮義消分隊、「消防衣及空氣呼吸器著裝」冠軍救生義消分隊。

每一競技項目都不容易，其中「負重救生」項目，選手背著氧氣桶全副武裝跑60公尺，再抱著70公斤重假人後退跑20公尺，許多選手後退跑時摔跤，有人一到終點就累癱了。

新竹市消防局長曹重賓表示，新竹市義消戰鬥力旺盛，當中有不少兄弟檔、父子檔，大家都以參加義消為榮。

35歲義消孫國彬，平日是健身教練，加入新竹市埔頂義消分隊6年，他說，參加義消可以鍛練身體，又能服務社會。
