天氣涼酒駕案件明顯增加 過半是中下階層

酒駕因為罰責提高而減少，不過天候一轉涼，酒駕民眾明顯增加。而從地院的判決當中，酒後駕車被控公共危險的被告，中下階層的民眾佔了絕大多數，而且不少人都是家境清寒，酒駕者也都是家中重要的經濟來源，也讓法官有些下不了手。(彭清仁報導)

今年初以來酒後駕車肇事案件大幅增加，也造成不少家庭破碎，也讓有關單位重視酒駕肇事的防堵工作，除了修法加重罰責之外，警政署也全力取締酒後駕車，甚至以重賞來激勵基層警員取締酒駕。派出所取締酒駕的獎勵，比外勤隊抓槍抓毒容易多了，也讓外勤隊相當眼紅。

最近天氣開始轉涼，基層警員也發現酒駕的民眾明顯的增加，每天偵查隊的保護室內，都有不少酒駕民眾等著被移送地檢署，也讓警員感嘆這些酒駕者真的是抓不怕。新竹一名偵查佐指出，酒駕被依公共危險移送者，幾乎都有酒駕的前科，不少人根本無力負擔罰款，就算被通緝，當事人不是借貸繳罰款，要不然就是已打包後準備入監，這位偵查佐就多次遇到前往公危通緝犯中帶人，對方早已等在家中，警方一到拿了換洗衣物就出門準備入監！而從法院的判決書中也可發現，三次以上酒駕被告，幾乎家境都是相當清寒，智識程度也不高，超過一半以上都是家中重要的經濟支柱，被告出庭時都坦承酒駕違法，在處境堪憐的情況下，法官真的有些判不下去。有法界人士不諱言指出，立法加重酒駕刑責，出現這種現象卻是始料未及。
