| 夏立言兒子逃兵役 國防部：夏鼓勵子返國服役

【王烱華／台北報導】網路媒體《風傳媒》報導，即將接任國防部軍政副部長的駐印尼代表夏立言，驚爆兩個兒子從小在美國長大，雖仍擁有中華民國國籍，卻逃避服兵役的醜聞。國防部軍事發言人羅紹和轉述夏立言的說明指出，他因長期派駐國外工作，因此兒子自幼即隨同他在國外求學。夏立言說，認同國民履行兵役義務的重要性，同時也會持續和兒子溝通，鼓勵他返國服役。
軍方人士表示，夏立言有一子一女，兒子目前已32歲，大學畢業後在美國工作多年，並非網路媒體所說的逃避兵役，而夏立言鼓勵其兒子返國服兵役的態度亦值得肯定。
國防部表示，夏立言兒子的兵役尚未免除，若其入境，徵兵機關會依相關作業規定進行徵兵處理。
