面對久違出賽的這場際遇，「土地公」倪福德似乎看得很開，談起去年5月動的左手肘韌帶置換手術，倪仔談笑風生，淡淡地說，「我的復原就是要比較久。」倪仔對於要花比一般球員還長的時間復出，許久未在正式比賽上場，保持平常心。

旅美多年後還是在台灣，像是為回饋台灣球迷的演出，這讓感覺心情淡定的倪仔都忍不住說，「很興奮。」

台日棒球經典賽今天下午六時在新莊進行第二戰，中華戰士隊推出年紀最長，下周將滿31歲的倪仔先發，對決今年拿下12勝6敗，廣島隊的年輕強投野村祐輔。倪仔為了這場先發已做好準備，以平時先發投手應完成的任務為目標，「希望能投100球，5至6局。」

倪仔對於復出首戰並不擔心球感，只是球速還要慢慢找回來，他半開玩笑地說，「反正大不了丟到人而已。」

這場對抗賽後倪仔將再度展開旅外生活，前往澳洲聯盟打球，希望獲得重返美職機會，但或許令各界最能夠眼睛一亮的契機就是今晚，對此倪仔又恢復了平常心，「不會想太多，順其自然。」
