政府發行公益彩券至今（2013）年9月底累積盈餘，已超過新台幣2,803億元。

財政部次長吳當傑指出，政府多年來積極推動健全公益彩券產業計畫，對促進弱勢族群就業機會有顯著貢獻，也讓民眾了解到，購買公益彩券不只有機會中獎，也是在做公益。

台彩公司董事長薛香川表示，提升公益彩券形象，增加弱勢彩券經銷商收入，並創造更多政府公益彩券盈餘是台彩公司經營公益彩券努力的目標，台彩公司和台彩母公司中國信託銀行從2007年接手公益彩券業務以來，在主管機關大力支持下，彩券銷售年年創新高，不僅累積公益彩券盈餘，也鼓勵高額中獎人捐款，截至今年10月底彩券高額中獎人捐款達28.4億元。

另外，中信銀每年提供20億8,680萬元回饋金，累積七年提供超過146億元給政府，照顧更多弱勢族群。

台灣指標調查公司今天公布部會首長滿意度調查，文化部長龍應台以26.7%，排第二。不過她的不滿意度也達25.8%，列名不滿意榜第五名。

龍應台獲知排名後，表示文化部的努力好像有點被看到，但中央政府許多工作都屬於基礎面，有如下水道工程不容易被看到，所以調查結果只是看看就好。因為很多事務現在看不出效果，要10年後才會看到。衛生福利部等也是如此。
