| 諾貝爾文學獎得主 多麗絲‧萊辛逝世

2007年諾貝爾文學獎得主，英國女作家多麗斯‧萊辛（Doris Lessing）於英國逝世，享壽94。
萊辛知名作品包括《金色筆記》（The Golden Notebook）、《黑暗來臨前的夏季》（The Summer Before the Dark）、《倖存者的回憶錄》（The Memoirs of a Survivor）等。諾貝爾委員會認為萊辛的《金色筆記》為「男女關係廿世紀觀點的先驅作品」。《又來了，愛情》（Love, Again）是她晚年代表作。

| 專家警告再不禁煙 中國將成肺癌大國

大陸醫學專家警告，如果大陸的肺癌病患，照目前的態勢成長，那麼十二年之內，大陸的肺癌病患人數，將達到兩百萬人，成為世界的「肺癌大國」。
大陸北京「協和醫學院」「腫瘤醫院」院士「孫燕」指出，在大陸，肺癌發病率與死亡率，近年來迅速上升。過去三十年，大陸肺癌死亡率，上升了百分之四百六十五，與乳癌死亡率百分之九十六相比，差距極大。
專家指出，大陸肺癌人數這麼多，與吸煙脫不了關係。全球十一億吸煙人口中，大陸就占了三點五億，而且十五歲以上的吸煙比例，高達百分之三十三點五。專家呼籲大陸當局，應該要認真考慮採取更多的禁煙措施。

| 分析：中共設立「國安委」 維穩意味大

中共在十八屆三中全會中，宣佈要成立「國家安全委員會」，資深的中國新聞工作者「程翔」表示，中共打算成立「國安委」，針對的是「內憂」，而不是「外患」。
程翔在香港明報撰文指出，中共在這次「三中全會」的公報提到，國家安全委員會是作為「創新社會治理」的一部分，並不涉及國防外交，說明了中共設置「國安委」，是內政的一部分。
程翔表示，雖然還不知道中共的「國安委」，要如何強化「創新社會治理」，不過應該可以預料，它會是一個「超級維穩機器」，就是要避免中國出現類似前蘇聯的崩潰，延續政權。
