| 失業率較前月持平 維持4.24％

【陳嘉恩／台北報導】行政院主計總處今上午公布上月失業率為4.24％，較9月相比持平，失業人數小幅增加1千人來到48.7萬人。主計總處分析，雖然因工作場所業務緊縮或歇業而失業的人數連續2個月增加2千人，但目前還未見到全面性大量解僱，情勢仍屬穩定，將持續觀察。不過上月失業率未降，的確也代表經濟情勢低速成長。
依年齡別分析，20到24歲失業率14.46％最高，不過已比9月下降0.11個百分點；依學歷分析，大學及以上程度失業率5.35％，也下降0.10個百分點。我國失業率仍居亞洲四小龍之冠，高於香港3.3％、韓國3.0％、新加坡2.6％。
