| 比亞迪攻美 踩Tesla地盤

受到股神巴菲特青睞的比亞迪電動車，預計明年底正式進軍美國，要一次推出四款車型打入特斯拉（Tesla）的主場，並強調「不打價格戰，要在品質與創新方面進行競爭」。
外電報導，比亞迪負責美國業務的資深副總裁李珂日受訪時表示，公司在2010年計畫進軍美國時還沒準備好，但這次會準備更加充分。公司計畫在2015年底之前，在美國推出四款車型。
比亞迪曾經在2008年推出全球第一台不用專業充電站的電動汽車，獲得股神巴菲特的投資，公司更曾在2010年時宣布將旗下的e6型電動車銷售到美國，但該計畫一再推遲。
李珂表示，「當時我們有熱情，但沒有品牌、沒有歷史、沒有資本、沒有競爭優勢。」但現在比亞迪已經變得更加時尚，並改進設計與安全性。這次進軍美國將不會打價格戰，而是要在品質與創新方面進行競爭。
比亞迪的電動巴士目前已經進入美國商用車市場，公司位於加州的電動巴士工廠也即將在今年3月動工生產，但在消費者領域卻始終缺席。
群益分析師指出，打入美國市場對於比亞迪的品牌形象來說具有象徵性意義，但前提是必須要確保車輛的品質，否則會有反效果。
市場人士則指出，大陸官方近年來推出各種補貼積極推廣新能源車，但民眾卻不捧場，銷量十分清淡，使得比亞迪、吉利汽車、長城汽車等電動車廠商在失望之餘轉而耕耘海外市場。
中國汽車工業協會統計也指出，2012年全年大陸各家車廠的新能源車總共只銷售12,791輛，甚至不如特斯拉一家車廠去年銷售的2.1萬輛。
