曾受雇整修 男子在奧莉薇亞紐頓莊家中自殺

美國一名男子在1870年代紅遍美國歌壇的女藝人「奧莉維亞‧紐頓莊」位於「佛羅里達州」的家中開槍自殺身亡，警方表示，這名41歲的男子曾受雇整修「奧莉維亞」的住宅。

「奧莉維亞」與她丈夫在事發當時，並不在家中，事後他們發表聲明，表示對於有人在「棕櫚泉」附近的住家自殺，感到非常震驚。

警方表明，這起事件被列為自殺，沒有其他可疑的地方。

來自澳洲的「奧莉維亞‧紐頓莊」在美國發跡成名，曾四度榮獲「葛萊美獎」，多支單曲列入暢銷金曲，1978年，她與「約翰屈伏塔」搭檔演出百老匯音樂劇改編的電影「火爆浪子」，片中主題曲創下好萊塢電影歌曲銷售紀錄。近年來，「奧莉維亞」致力環保，並大力為健康議題募款，從事慈善事業。
