四大滿貫唯一不設鷹眼成了法網特色之一，這點讓尋求衛冕的Maria Sharapova有意見，因為在比賽中碰上讓她認為需要使用的狀況。
6-1、7-5擊敗中國選手鄭潔，Sharapova在賽後記者會上，對鷹眼有不少的質疑，第二盤第5局她一次發球出界，不過影像回溯後，顯示球落在界內。
「那球壓線！」Sharapova曾對裁判講道，她賽後表示：「有沒有出界已不重要，但是裁判指的距離與真正球印有一步的距離。」
法網其實設有鷹眼，但影像回溯只用來輔助重播，未開放選手挑戰，因為紅土球場的球印清晰可見，但類似Sharapova的狀況仍會發生，名將Bryan兄弟檔也呼籲法網要開放鷹眼。
「其他大滿貫都有鷹眼，雖然誤判情況不多，但為什麼不裝呢？是錢的問題嗎？我不這麼認為。」Sharapova表示，那一球證明了有這個必要。
