一名男子因與妻子感情不睦，懷疑她外遇偷吃，因而在日前一度想不開而吞藥燒炭，所幸及時被妻子發現救回一命。男子之後約妻子到公園談判，結果雙方一言不合發生爭吵，男子一怒之下竟拿出預藏的30多公分長的刀子，朝妻子頸部、背部和腰部猛刺10多刀，女子因失血過多傷重不治，男子也被警方到場制伏。

這起丈夫與妻子談判、竟一言不合持刀殺死妻子的案件，發生在花蓮縣。有詐欺前科的32歲的男子，他與28歲的蔣姓妻子4年前結婚，2人育有3歲的兒子。陳男與蔣女在今年3月離婚，期間陳男不斷要求和蔣女復合，並且為了兒子的監護權而僵持不下，20日當天陳男才以死相逼，在蔣女的租屋處吞藥燒炭自殺，所幸及時被蔣女發現而救回一命。

陳男撿回一命後，21日晚間7時左右，陳男又開車來到蔣女住處，約對方在樓下談判。2人一言不合發生嚴重爭執，引起路人旁觀，突然間陳男情緒激動，從背後抽出一把長約30多公分的刀子，朝蔣女身上砍殺，民眾發現後趕緊跑到附近的美崙派出所報案，員警趕到現場拔槍喝令放下刀子，陳男才棄刀趴地。

警方隨即連絡消防隊將蔣女送往醫院急救，但她頸部、背部和腰部共中10多刀，送往醫院時因失血過多仍傷重不治。消防員到場處理時，發現蔣女正是前天報警救夫的人，還一度驚訝地說「她不就是昨天報警救夫的那位嗎？還穿著同件衣服耶！」

陳男被逮供稱，自己當時吃藥後精神恍惚，才會一時衝動殺了妻子。目擊證人事後直呼「他簡直殺紅了眼，實在好可怕！」鄰居也大罵他「你老婆才救了你，你卻殺了她，真是忘恩負義！」
