就在平地花季及賞花活動熱烈展開之際，太平山上的各式花卉也不願沈寂山野，各在枝頭盡情綻放，彷彿正當年輕美貌的青春少女，把握一季的燦爛，在屬於她們的舞台上爭奇鬥艷，令人讚嘆。

位於宜蘭縣大同鄉的太平山國家森林遊樂區，在海拔400到2000公尺之間，依地理位置及景觀特色分為：鳩之澤、太平山、翠峰湖。生長其間的各式花草樹木，依著四季時序，展露獨特風采，把山野林間妝點得美不勝收。

特別是仲夏來臨之前，從4月開始到6月間，大片山林更加繽紛亮麗。毛地黃在遊樂區主要道路兩側開出風鈴狀花串，有紅色、粉色和白色，隨風搖曳，好像在迎接遊客的到來。

目前紫葉槭也在枝頭吐露出火紅的葉片，把418階的中央階梯兩側滿滿圍繞，就像一派深秋楓紅，置身其中，別有一番情境；小白頭翁淨白花朵，還有霄待草多彩花瓣，也都各展美姿，和其他生命正盛的花草樹木，一起畫構一幅繽紛美麗的景緻。太平山上夏之花卉，真是超吸睛！
