| 太平新光橋完工竟不通車 市議員李麗華質詢才馬上啟用

未免太被動；太平新光重劃區新建的新光橋，工程費達八千萬元，早在去年3月完工，可是至今一年多遲遲尚未通車，居民眼巴巴望著新橋，卻要多繞三公里多，走其他橋樑，地方居民相當不滿，頻頻向市議員李麗華陳情，李麗華除提出質詢，和市府相關單位4日會勘，眾多居民到現場抗議，馬上吊走障礙物通車。
李麗華說，新光橋橋寬18.2公尺，長11000公尺跨越旱溪，上游有金母橋，下游有精武橋，橫向可銜接旱溪東路、旱溪西路，東側建設局正辦理聯外道路開闢工程(振福路361巷開通至旱溪東路)。
新光橋早在縣府時代，即95年4月開始施工，後因配合台電電塔遷移工程，於同年7月12日停工，直到100年9月26日復工，並於101年3月22日竣工，工程結算金額為新台幣78,880,925元，也於101年11月30日正式辦理移交接管於建設局、交通局。
雖已移交接管，但至今仍未通車，兩岸用塑膠紐澤西護欄阻擋，使得地方居民有橋卻不能走的怪現象，居民要進入台中市區，只好繞金母橋或精武橋，均要多走三公里，新橋不用，不但無法疏解新光地區交通量，更是另類浪費公帑，居民們相當不滿，紛紛向市議員李麗華反映，李麗華上週五（31日）也在議會提質詢，期盼市府儘速辦理通車，以符合地方居民需求。
市府建設、地政相關單位4日上午現場勘查，居民們為表達不滿到新光橋抗議，市府人員見居民群情激憤，加上橋完工不用，確實不合理，馬上請吊車吊走阻擋的塑膠錐，新光橋立即通車，是少見的效率。
