印尼航空 榮獲Skytrax「全球最佳經濟艙」大獎

繼 2012 年榮獲國際航空服務調查機構Skytrax評選為「全球最佳區域性航空公司」後，印尼航空在 6 月 18 日所公佈的本年度評選名單中，再度榮獲「全球最佳經濟艙」殊榮。

印尼航空於去年的Skytrax「全球前五名最佳經濟艙」獎項中排名第四，緊次於新加坡航空、卡達航空和韓亞航空之後，這次榮獲「全球最佳經濟艙」獎項充分展現出印尼航空在不斷提升服務品質上的努力。而除了獲得「全球最佳經濟艙」殊榮，印尼航空更榮膺Skytrax「全球最佳經濟艙座椅」獎項。頒獎典禮於2013巴黎航空展期間舉行，由Skytrax主席Edward Plaisted於巴黎航空博物館將獎牌親自頒予印尼航空總裁暨執行長Emirsyah Satar。
此次的調查是由英國航空顧問公司Skytrax所進行。於2012年7月至2013年6月間，共收集了來自100個國家、超過1,800萬名旅客的意見。調查對象超過200間航空公司，針對航空公司所提供之產品與服務進行38項不同的評估。
印尼航空總裁暨執行長Emirsyah Satar表示，此次贏得「全球最佳經濟艙」獎項皆歸功於印尼航空全體員工的努力及付出，讓所有乘客皆能享有最好的服務品質。印尼航空近年來屢獲國際肯定。這些肯定也成為印尼航空未來發展的原動力；除了繼續落實「2011 - 2015 年突飛猛進發展計劃」之外，也預計於2015年晉升為五星級航空公司，營運機隊總數達194架。
此外，四架波音777-300ER客機也分別將於今年7月與年底陸續加入營運機隊。新型的波音777-300ER客機將先於7月初投入雅加達 – 吉達航線服務，並於年底投入新開的雪梨 – 雅加達 – 倫敦航線服務。而隨著機隊不斷的擴增，印尼航空也將推出「頭等艙」服務。「頭等艙」服務包括提供精緻餐點的「機上主廚」(Chef on Board)。乘客在 35,000 英呎的高空中也能享用各式佳餚；另外，全新推出的「機上連線」(In-flight Connectivity) 服務讓乘客在飛行中仍可持續工作，或是欣賞娛樂節目，讓喜愛足球賽事的乘客也能觀賞足球比賽的現場即時轉播。
印尼航空將持續推動其機隊發展計劃，於 2013 年新增 24 架新型飛機，其中包括了四架波音777‐300ER客機、三架 A330 空中巴士、十架波音737‐800NG，和七架 Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen。
