| 大雪山林道沿線違規停車多 警方加強暑期取締勤務

大雪山國家森林遊樂區為中部地區最佳的避暑勝地，每逢假日遊客如織，卻常因聯外道路大雪山林道遊客違規停車，造成交通阻塞、人車爭道情形；為維護交通安全及道路暢通，市警局和平分局依據「道路交通管理處罰條例」，暑假期間與例假日加強執行林道沿線違規停車取締勤務。
位於臺中市和平區的大雪山國家森林遊樂區，全年平均氣溫約攝氏15至18度，林木資源豐富，具有獨特的森林生態系及多樣動植物資源；東勢林區管理處李炎壽處長指出，除了是避暑、度假外，任何季節到大雪山國家森林遊樂區都是好時節，大雪山無處不是美景，晚霞、雲海、森林、山巒、星空，遠近馳名。
李炎壽處長呼籲，請上山的遊客共同遵守交通標線的規定，以維護大雪山林道交通安全與順暢。星星之火可以燎原，東勢林管處同時也請民眾勿在森林周邊進行野炊、營火等行為，以防範森林火災發生，共同保護國家珍貴的自然資產。
東勢林區管理處指出，依森林法規定：「森林區域及森林保護區內，不得有引火及擅自堆積廢棄物、排放污染物之行為，違者依森林法第56條處新臺幣12萬元以上60萬元以下罰鍰、56條之一處新台幣6萬元以上30萬元以下罰鍰。」籲請民眾勿觸法以免受罰。
