教育部今天表揚102年度優秀公教人員，陽明大學附設醫院醫師陳秀丹，致力推動安寧緩和條例修法，減少醫療資源浪費，獲得表揚。

今年共有79人受獎，涵蓋公務人員、教育行政人員、一般教師等，包括教育廣播電台前台長陳克允（已退休）、台北藝術大學校長朱宗慶等人，都榜上有名。

任職於陽明大學附設醫院、擔任重症醫師的陳秀丹，不忍健保資源浪費、且損害臨終者的生命尊嚴，在修法公聽會上懇切陳言，感動許多人，今年獲選優秀人員。

陳秀丹曾照顧過一個90多歲的老阿嬤，因為血壓過低、四肢壞死，雙腿鼠蹊部以下被截肢，兩手的手指頭也都喪失，僅能靠呼吸器維持生命。

類似景象，讓陳秀丹不忍，她認為台灣花費了太多資源在「無效醫療」上，過於折騰病人、沒有顧及生命的尊嚴。

「增進生活品質、減少痛苦，保有尊嚴死亡的權益，這才是醫療的本質。」陳秀丹認為，醫療有極限，生命也有極限，台灣的「生死教育」應該加強，年輕時就應有一定觀念，不要避諱談死亡，這也是她未來努力的方向。
