監察院內鬥風暴愈演愈烈，民進黨立委有意提案修憲、廢除監察院。民進黨主席蘇貞昌今天在泰國受訪表示，透過修憲廢除監察院不容易，最快的方法就是等監委任期屆滿時，請馬英九總統不再提名新任監察委員。

謝淑薇與詹皓晴在辛辛那提女雙八強戰碰頭，溫網女雙冠軍的謝淑薇與彭帥技高一籌，兩盤橫掃台灣與斯洛伐克的組合，拿下四強門票。
辛辛那提網賽總獎金2369000美元，為男女共站賽事，WTA隸屬超五等級，謝淑薇與彭帥單打項目皆已出局，女雙則持續挺進。
面對大會第七種子的詹皓晴與Katarina Srebotnik，溫網後首度合體的謝淑薇與彭帥，僅花60分鐘就以6-3、6-2將對手橫掃出局。
第一盤海峽組合很快就來到4-1領先，詹皓晴與 Srebotnik曾力挽狂瀾，化解破發點後再追一局，但謝淑薇、彭帥仍在5-3盤末發局中從Deuce 局面拿下首盤。
詹皓晴與 Srebotnik第二盤在開局保發後，第4局錯過破發機會，讓戰局變成2-2，結果就讓海峽組合連破帶保一路壓著打，遭到淘汰出局。
