李開復早上8時發出的微博說，「看到評論裡這麼多網友的問候和關心，真的很感動！我一直相信，每個人在病痛面前的姿態和選擇，決定了其未來精神世界的質量。雖然淋巴癌聽起來並不樂觀，也讓家人和朋友很擔心。但生活就是這樣，往往來得意外，但既然遭遇就應坦然面對。病痛也是生活的一部分，我會選擇更加積極的心態來面對生活起伏。」

自昨晚他這則簡短消息發出後，到今早已有11萬則以上的評論，幾乎都是祝他早日康復，有人說好人終有好報，有人說開復老師愛你，一定能戰勝病魔的。有人說保持好心態，一切會好起來的。有人建議他用中醫治療，有人說戰勝癌症最有效的方法就是積極的心態、放下一切，有人說好的心態加作息加上食療。

騰訊透過接近李開復的人士確認，李開復被診斷出癌症，正在接受治療。而隨後不久，創新工場聯合創始人、新聞發言人王肇輝發出微博證實，李開復被診斷出癌症，他說「很遺憾的告知大家，開復被診斷出癌症。目前正在遵醫囑接受治療。謝謝大家的關心。」

李開復是1961年12月在台北縣中和市出生，1983年畢業於哥倫比亞大學計算機系，1988年取得美國卡內基梅隆大學計算機系博士學位。

畢業後李開復曾分別在美國蘋果電腦、微軟當上相關部門的全球副總裁，2005年加入Google，擔任全球副總裁兼大中華區總裁。2009年離開Google，擔任創新工場董事長。
