| 埃及暴力不止 美深表關切

美國白宮國家安全會議發言人米漢(Bernadette Meehan)今天(8日)表示，美國對埃及最近的暴力深感關切，並且呼籲埃及政府，要保護所有的埃及人民。
米漢指出，埃及政府有責任創造出每一位埃及人民，都可以享有其普世權利的氛圍，包括集會自由、言論與表達的自由。
她同時指出，美國譴責所有的暴力，以及任何鼓動暴力的行徑。
埃及從6日爆發伊斯蘭激進份子和警察的衝突至今，已經造成57人死亡。

| 美一退休員警在西維州法院開槍 遭擊斃

美國一名退休員警在「西維吉尼亞州」一座聯邦法院開了20多槍，直到法院安全警衛抵達，開槍將他擊斃。在這起事件中，另外有兩名警衛被砸落的瓦礫擊中受傷，但沒有大礙。
調查人員已向當局申請搜索令，前往這名開槍退休員警的家中，希望能找到他作案的動機。
這棟三層樓的聯邦法院大樓在槍擊案發生後，就被當局封鎖，四周部屬了大批員警。
法院坐落的城鎮距離美國「鋼鐵之都」「匹茲堡」西南約90公里；當地市長表示，近十年來，由於鋼鐵業不斷裁員，小鎮居民備受重創，人口已減少了百分之9.3。但即便是小城市，也不能倖免於槍枝暴力的荼毒。
